Health and Safety

American Academy of Pediatrics: The AAP is an organization of 55,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical sub-specialists and surgical specialists dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Site provides access to AAP documents on literacy promotion, early learning partnerships, television viewing and the effect on child development, early brain development and other topics related to child development.

KidsHealth: Created by the pediatric medical experts at The Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children, The Nemours Childrens Clinic, and other children's health facilities nationwide. Articles on many aspects of child health, for parents, kids, and teens.

Healthfinder: Gateway to selected health and human services information resources with online links to governmental and public organizations by subject, including parenting, infants, children, teens, and families.

Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention: National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institutes of Health resources for families to help prevent drug and alcohol abuse by children and teens.

National Immunization Program: Centers for Disease Control compiled information on childhood diseases and immunization.
