Retirement Planning Workshop Offered at Del City Library

Many people look forward to retirement and when the day finally arrives they discover that they are not prepared to deal with their altered financial affairs.

The Del City Library, 4509 S.E. 15 th , will be presenting a Retirement Planning Workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 , from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“A lot of elderly, and not so elderly people really have no idea how complicated their finances can become when they retire,” said Del City librarian Sam Weehunt. “Just think about all the things you have to know about—social security benefits, retirement from your place of employment, penalties and benefits from early or belated retirement, private funds, insurance. Hopefully, our workshop can make people's future in retirement a little less daunting.”

Attorney Catheryn Koss will be on hand at the library to answer questions about when and how to retire, and how to get along after you do. She will be there to discuss government rules and regulations as well as the individual's rights and responsibilities.

Bring you questions. Refreshments will be provided. Call 672-1377 to pre register.
