Blanca de La Z Visits Capitol Hill For Summer Reading Story Time

What is more fun than reading aloud to children?

Blanca Ramirez, one of the most popular on-air personalities at Spanish radio station KTUZ 106.7 will be at the Capitol Hill Library, 334 SW 26th, at 2:00pm on Friday, June 13, to visit with los ninos and their families.  Blanca will conduct a bi-lingual story time, reading stories and chatting with those in attendance.

“We’re really thrilled to have Blanca come to Capitol Hill,” said library manager of operations Phil Tolbert.  “The children who visit here regularly will be happy when they know that such a popular radio DJ is making a special trip here just to see and read to them.”

Blanca’s visit is part of the Metropolitan Library System’s Summer at the Library series of events.  Summer at the Library began on June 1 and continues at every MLS library through July 31.  Children who sign up for the program have chances to earn prizes by setting and reaching their reading goals.

“We’re grateful to La Z, radio KTUZ, for sending Blanca to us,“ Tolbert said, “so put a visit to la Biblioteca de Capitol Hill on June 13.  It’ll be fun.
