Holiday Party at the Newly Renovated Ralph Ellison Library

Are you getting into the holiday mood?  If not, here’s something that is sure to help.

The staff of the newly renovated Ralph Ellison Library invites everyone to a Holiday Party at the library, 2000 NE 23rd, from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, December 19.

“We’re planning a great time that day,” said librarian Kim Ventrella, “with a children’s storytime, holiday face painting, free gift giveaways, and the best thing of all, the opportunity for the kids to have their pictures taken with Santa.  Sorry, moms and dads.  That part is just for the kids.”

Michael Eric Owens, Ralph Ellison Library’s Manager of Library Operations, thinks that the party creates the perfect opportunity for library customers to visit the newly renovated library and take a look around.

“The library began serving this community in 1975,” Owens said, “and this is the first time we’ve had a complete renovation since then.  We’re bigger and better, and we want everyone to come to the Holiday Party and celebrate the next 35 years of service with us.”
