Metro String Quartet Plays Holiday Favorites at Belle Isle Library

You know that the holidays are well under way when most of the music you hear has that seasonal familiarity about it.

For a slightly different take on traditional holiday music, visit the Belle Isle Library, 5501 N. Villa, on Sunday, December 13, for the joy of The Metro String Quartet’s “Music at the Library: A Metro String Holiday.”  The concert begins at 2pm and will last about one hour.

“We are delighted,” said librarian Ann Meeks, “to welcome this classically trained group from Oklahoma City.  They’ve been playing together in the metro area for over eight years now and they’ve developed a faithful following in that time.”

The concert is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages.  For more information, please call the Belle Isle Library at 842-9601 or visit the Metropolitan Library System’s website at www.metrolibrary.org.
