Noon Tunes Continues at Downtown Library

Nothing breaks up the day like a musical interlude so what you need is a lunch time music break.

Bring your lunch to the Downtown Library Atrium, 300 Park Avenue, on Thursdays in March and April from 11:30am to 1:00pm for a variety of musical styles that will go down smoothly with your sandwiches and sodas.

“We’ve been presenting Noon Tunes programming on Thursdays at the Downtown Library for several months now,” said the Metropolitan Library System’s Director of Outreach Services Dana Morrow, “and we’ve developed some very faithful fans by this time.  But there’s always room for more, so drop by and listen to what we have in store for you.”

The schedule for Thursday Noon Tunes is:

March 5: Simoleons – eclectic Americana

March 12: Timeless Trio – popular and classical

                March 19: Jazz

                March 26: Harvest Hills Elementary

April 2: Easy Street – pop and standards

April 9: UCO Faculty Woodwind Quintet – classical

April 16: Harold Dugger and Friends – original music

April 23: Del City High School Honor Band

April 30: Tall Cotton String Band

All performances are free and open to the public.  For more information call 606-3833.

Noon Tunes is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System.
