Jazz For the Holidays Comes
to Belle Isle Library

Warm up the holiday season with some cool jazz.

The Belle Isle Library, 5501 N. Villa, presents Phillip Mitchell and his jazz ensemble, Mitchell’s Brew, on Sunday, December 5 from 2:00-3:00p.m.  It’s a free concert that will get your bells a’jingling to a jazz beat.

“We’re very excited that Mitchell’s Brew accepted our invitation to perform at the Belle Isle Library,” said librarian Ann Meeks.  “They’ll be performing holiday and other standards to get everyone in a holiday mood.”

The Belle Isle Library’s commitment to bringing jazz in its many forms to library customers is solid.  Mitchell’s Brew is only one of the jazz performers the library has presented in recent years.

“The music is timeless, and there’s nothing like hearing it performed live by a great group,” Meeks said.

“Phillip Mitchell’s Jazz Group For the Holidays” is free and open to the public.  The performance is suitable for all ages.  Call Belle Isle Library at 843-9601 for more information.
