Concert Series in Honor of Ernestine Hill Clark Scheduled at Downtown Library
Ernestine Hill Clark served the Metropolitan Library System in several capacities for over 30 years, and in recognition of her achievements the MLS and the MLS Library Endowment Trust are co-sponsoring a series of piano concerts by master pianist Wayne McEvilly in her honor.
Clark, who before her recent retirement was the library system’s Director of Development, is a long time admirer of McEvilly’s talent. The pianist has been a favorite of library customers for several years and is delighted to dedicate his Second Sunday Series in 2010 to her.
“These performances are for Ernestine,” said MLS Director of Outreach Services Dana Morrow, “because of her love of Wayne’s music and in honor of her generous spirit of giving to others.”
The concerts will be held in the Downtown Library, 300 Park Avenue, the second Sunday of each month, January through June, beginning at 2pm.
- January 10: Schubert: A Divine Messenger
- February 14: The Romance of Chopin
- March 7: Beethoven: Moonlight Sonata
- April 11: Serenity of Bach
- May 9: Mozart for Mother’s Day
- June 13: Piano Masterworks for Children
