Free Yoga Classes Offered at Midwest City Library

Get a jump on that New Year’s Resolution to loosen up and relax.

Join instructor Suzie Verdin for a series of Yoga sessions at the Midwest City Library, 8143 E. Reno, every Sunday in November beginning on November 14 and running through Nov. 28.  The classes are from 1:00 to 2:15p.m., are free and open to the public.  Just bring your own mat and towel.

“A lot of people are looking for ways to settle their minds,” said librarian Suzette Felton, “and Yoga is one of the oldest ways in the world to do it.  This is not just New Age mysticism.  Some Yoga practices date back over 5,000 years, so there must be something in it that works for a lot of people.”

Participants in the program will learn about stretching, alignment and mental relaxation techniques.
