Noon Tunes Tuning Up for Downtown Library in July and August
Do you ever get a catchy tune stuck in your head? Do you want one?
Bring your lunch to the Downtown Library Atrium, 300 Park Avenue, on Thursdays in July and August from 11:30am to 1:00pm for a variety of musical styles that will go down smoothly with your sandwiches and sodas.
“A live musical performance can really help break up the day,” said the Metropolitan Library System’s Director of Outreach Services Dana Morrow. “Not only will the music itself re-vitalize you, but a quick trip to the library and lunch with friends will also help you prepare for the rest of the work day.”
The schedule for Thursday Noon Tunes is:
July 1: Okie Dokey Banjo Band
July 8: Marianne Searle and UCO Music Theater
July 15: Sugar Free All Stars
July 22: McMichael School of Music’s Rock Clinic
July 29: Guitarist Danny Vaughan Trio
August 5: Lyric Theater’s Interactive 1776
August 12: Larry Pierce Trio
August 19: Jamie Bramble, guitar/vocal
August 26: Marcin Parys, classical piano
All performances are free and open to the public. For more information call 606-3833.
Noon Tunes is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System.
