Here’s an annual holiday event that in just a few short years has become a tradition. It’s the Capitol Hill Library’s Annual Open House.
The Capitol Hill Library, 334 S.W 26th Street, will host its annual Holiday Open House from 11:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10. The day will be filled with entertainment and refreshments. And, of course, much more.
“This has got to be my favorite library event every year,” said librarian Jennifer Jones. “Every December, the Open House just gets bigger and we pack more activities into five hours than just about anyone else.”
The 2011 Edition of the event will present live music, a live story teller, and a Holiday Crafts program with Rainbow Fleet and artist Debbie Langston.
“We’ll also be giving away free books from Feed the Children and free photos with Santa,” Jones added. “He’s a busy guy this time of year so we ask that people call ahead for an appointment. We’re taking these calls for him, so give us a ring at 634-6308.”
