Teens, picture this: hanging out with your friends, having a great time with games, crafts, movies, even learning how to perform stage combat with a comic flair.
October is Teen Read Month, so Picture It @ Your Library. There’s a lot going on in October and being in on it is a lot more fun than being left out.
“This is an annual event for teens,” said Metropolitan Library System’s Young Adult Services Coordinator Emily Williams. “A lot of libraries have a Teen Read Week in October, but that’s not good enough for us. We schedule programs and events that last the entire month. This year we have some great stuff going on.”

The Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County includes 12 libraries and five extension libraries. Libraries include Belle Isle, Capitol Hill, Ralph Ellison, Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library and Southern Oaks in Oklahoma City, as well as Bethany, Choctaw, Del City, Edmond, Midwest City, Village and Warr Acres.
