Veterans Information Fair Coming to Midwest City Library

America pauses on Veterans Day to recognize the men and women who have served in our armed forces, defending our shores and protecting our freedom.

The Midwest City Library, 8143 E. Reno, is celebrating the day and our veterans with a Veterans Information Fair on Saturday, November 12, from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

“To honor our local veterans,” said Chris Kennedy, Manager of Library Operations Midwest City Library,” we’re hosting a Veterans' Information Fair. The fair will feature information booths with local organizations, both government and private, that provide services specifically for veterans and their families. Everyone is invited to join us as we honor our local veterans with this free event.”

Kennedy also said that in the library lobby will be a display honoring the Tuskegee Airmen and throughout the library will be photos of the local heroes. The day will begin with an opening ceremony with the playing of our National Anthem and a keynote speaker.  Throughout the library, veteran’s organizations from across the state will provide information explaining their services.
