Gustafer Yellowgold Show Returns For Two Library Performances

Gustafer Yellowgold is a children’s fantasy character who came to Earth from the sun and lives in a psychedelic version of the Minnesota woods.  He’s ready for a visit to Oklahoma City—are you ready for him?

As part of the week-long Grand Opening celebration for the new Patience S. Latting Northwest Library from May 22-26, Gustafer Yellowgold will pay visits to the Northwest Library, 5600 N.W. 122nd (606-3561) and The Village Library, 10307 N. Pennsylvania (755-0710) on Saturday, May 26.  The show will go on at Northwest Library at 10:30a.m. and at The Village Library at 2:00p.m.

The brainchild of rock musician Morgan Taylor, Gustafer Yellowgold began life as a picture book project in 2004.  Taylor describes the production as “a multi-media performance of live music, animated illustrations and storytelling with a unique crossover appeal.”

“Morgan brought Gustafer to our libraries once before,” said MLS director of Outreach Services Dana Morrow, “and kids keep asking when he’s coming again.  So back by popular demand, here he is.”
