Once or twice a year the Metropolitan Library System has to make way for new furnishings by holding what could be called a large garage sale. This is not a book sale, but is instead a sale of surplus furniture and equipment.
The next MLS retail sale will be conducted on Friday, October 12, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. The sale will be held at the Metropolitan Library System Maintenance Center, 1364 N.E. 3rd, Oklahoma City.
Items for sale include but are not limited to bookcases, chairs, desks, shelving, tables, typewriters, workstations, projectors, computers, monitors, shredders, and surveillance equipment.
“Everything is sold ‘as is’,” said library Purchasing Specialist Lisa Walker. “There are no warranties or guarantees and the purchaser will have to pay for and remove all items by the end of the sale.”
Payment may be made by cash, check or approved purchase orders, with state and local taxes included in the purchase price.
For more information, please contact the MLS Purchasing Office at 606-3792 or 606-3794.
