Metro Library’s Wizard Rock Show Just Keeps on Comin’

There will be no more new Harry Potter books and movies, but the magic continues in the form of Metropolitan Library System’s Annual Wizard Rock Show on Tuesday, July 17 at the Midwest City Library, 8143 E. Reno, starting at 6:00p.m.

“This year’s concert is called ‘ExpecTour Patronum’,” said MLS Young Adult Services Coordinator Emily Williams, “and we’ve got three of the best wizard rockers ever to play.  We have Lauren Fairweather, Seen and Unforseen, and favorites from years past, The Whomping Willows.”

If you don’t know what Wizard Rock, or ‘wrock,’ is all about it’s a branch of rock music in which the  songs have been inspired by the world of Harry Potter in the books by J.K. Rowling.

“This is our sixth annual show,” Emily added, “and it’s a special favorite event for teens and adults, part of our Summer Reading Games.  It’s free and we always have a great time!”
