October Is Teen Read Month at MLS Libraries

You might be surprised at the number of teens who like to read—for fun.

The Metropolitan Library System isn’t surprised.  Libraries see everyday how many teens check out books or eBooks, and not just for school assignments.

In honor of teen reading, MLS names October Teen Read Month and schedules a variety of programming events around the system.  This year’s theme is “Seek the Unknown,” and teen readers will have ample opportunities to do just that.

The events are free but space is limited so teens are encouraged to call their neighborhood MLS library or go to the MLS website for fullest details.
