All Metropolitan Library System library locations have access to downloadable state and federal tax forms. Feel free to use our public Internet computers to gain access to the tax information you are needing. Metropolitan Library System staff can assist you in locating and printing tax forms.

Important Information

Public libraries are no longer a distribution center for pre-printed state and federal tax forms and booklets.
The Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Federal Documents office (200 N.E. 18th, Oklahoma City), will have basic Federal Forms 1040, 1040 A, 1040 EZ and corresponding instructions booklets for individual use only (no bulk copies available), as well as various other forms. There will be no Oklahoma tax forms available at the Oklahoma Department of Libraries. To check whether your needed Federal form is currently available, please call ahead at 405-522-3327.
Oklahoma Residents: If you filed a paper resident income tax (511) form for Tax Year 2010, you will be mailed a 2011 packet in early January. Otherwise, you will need to either download form(s) from the Oklahoma Tax Commission website or use the public computers at one of our libraries to print out these forms.

AARP Tax-Aide and VITA Volunteers will be offering free tax assistance to local citizens in filing 2011 taxes at several Metropolitan Library System Libraries. AARP & VITA Volunteers ask individuals to bring W-2s and/or 1099s, photo I.D. and Social Security number. To expedite the process please bring 2010 tax papers with you. AARP Tax-Aide and VITA tax assistance is provided by a network of volunteers on a first-come, first-serve basis for e-Filing taxes.

Because AARP & VITA Volunteers are not associated with the Library system, their posted hours may vary some. We encourage customers to please call the library prior to visit and confirm that volunteers are available to assist you with filing your taxes.

There are several options for eFiling your taxes. If you meet certain criteria a number of sites offer free preparation and electronic filing for state or federal returns.
